Our Systems include Performance Collector Reducers, All Zinc Clamps and All Hangers. All Our Systems include either a Balance Tube or X-Pipe Crossover. Not all systems on the market include these things. NO Competitor Systems include Performance Collector Reducers -- this is the most important part of a system -- because it is the beginning of the system where flow is the most important! Check out our Performance Collector Reducers.. We also stand behind our product with a Guarantee to fit (unless header alignment is a problem).

HEADER APPLICATIONS
All F-Body systems have the same basic profile from collector reducer to tailpipe. Headpipes angle over to the tunnel area for maximum ground clearance and tailpipes are designed with a minimum of bends with attention paid to movement and location of suspension for greatest possible clearance.The tailpipes do not interfere with wide tire installation, or with most popular style aftermarket traction devices. (See photos for pipe routing and location). They exit under the rear bumper and each is a 2-piece design for ease of installation. Use of wide rear tires with any wheel backspace presents no problems.
Headpipes and Collector Reducers are made longer than necessary, so you may need to cut off some unnecessary length. Total combined length is 55".

Mufflers need to be Offset in/Offset out on opposite sides for best fit. 1St Gen vehicles will need to limit case length to no more than 16" max. 2nd Gen vehicles can use 17" case length mufflers max.
Convertibles --
The body brace will need to be shimmed for Headpipes to fit.

To watch a neat video of the installation of an X-Pipe system on a '72 Buick GS (A-Body), click HERE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DijtVZ4Q8lg&feature=channel_page (for some reason the customer decided to mount the X-Junction farther back than normally recommended; perhaps because of the drive shaft loop location. Best place is as close to the headers as possible. It is also recommended to move the mufflers closer inward to enable some "tucking up" into the drive shaft tunnel area.)
