MANDREL BENT PIPES

Pipes which are bent in such a way that there are no crimps or kinks in the bends. Muffler shop type bends are what we call "crush" bends because they will crimp or kink the tubing. This kink restricts flow - not good for Muscle Cars with Performance in mind!

3" Tailpipes just can't be done. This is often stated by many muffler shops. It might be because they want you to purchase a system from them, in smaller tubing OR it might be they just don't know or understand.

You see, the reason IT CAN BE DONE is the type bending machinery being used. Not to "knock" the typical muffler shop, but they just don't have the type bending equipment needed. To be fair, they don't really need it for what they do. The typical muffler shop bender runs $8 - $12,000 new while the type benders that will bend 3" to 4" pipe often costs well over $200,000 new and this type bender does not crimp the bends.

So don't be fooled, IT CAN BE DONE! We have been doing it for quite some time now. We are even doing it in 3.5" on vehicles that have the room.

As you surf our site, please keep in mind that we have a really great illustrated catalog. We have many undercar photos showing positioning of pipes under the vehicle. This catalog is fairly detailed with every attempt being made to describe variations and possible problems. Usually the only problem that will arise will be a result of Header Alignment. There is just no way to design a pre-bent system that will handle poor header alignment. We are the only Performance Exhaust Mfg that we know of that produces extra pieces that can often help with these problems if they should arise. If you know about these problems at the time of ordering, then often you can order the necessary items to deal with them. As we develop this site, we will make every attempt to be detailed here, but it will be best to request a copy of our catalog. You won't be disappointed!

Pricing: While we make every effort to maintain prices, sometimes we just cannot absorb some of the price increases passed on to us by our suppliers and manufacturers. Therefore, we must sometimes raise prices without having them necessarily corrected on this site. We will make every effort to keep pricing on this site current.

Our Performance Exhaust Site is basically divided up into two sections: System Pages and Non-System Pages. The System Pages will feature the Systems while the Non-System Pages will feature such things as Mufflers, Hardware, Catalytic Converters, Tailpipe Tips, Extensions, and other miscellaneous pieces of systems.

From any page you can go directly back to either of the two Main Pages (System Page or Non-System Page) and then go from there. We will also provide some appropriate direct links to other pages. This site has become quite involved because we feel we want to provide as much information as possible. Doing so meant many pages, no matter how hard we tried to keep it simple.
