Why we call our Reducers, Performance Collector Reducers!
Our specially designed aluminized reducers feature a longer, gentler taper for less turbulence and backpressure. They are longer (14") with a gentle taper of 5" to minimize turbulence and promote exhaust flow. We use these reducers on all our "Header Application" systems. These outflow reducers normally supplied with headers and are an integral part of our system design. With less backpressure being developed at this point, they all but eliminate gasket blowout. The "No-Weld" and "Slip-on" Reducers do not come with systems or Headpipe Kits, but may be substituted.
To the left is a competitors 3.5" to 3". Certainly they are kidding!? This is what we call a "stepped" reducer. You can clearly see the interference in flow that happens immediately after exiting the header. This is the very beginning of the system where the exhaust is flowing the fastest and hottest. It is very important to have No restrictions here. This is NOT good!
This competitor has done some better, but still the transition is immediate within the first 3/4" which is not good either.
Here are our Performance Collector Reducers. Notice the nice gentle long taper -- a full 5" worth. This gentle transition enables for uninterrupted flow and with a minimum of loss of performance.

"NO-WELD" REDUCERS
These help with installation when the header is not pointing straight back. This allows you to set the reducer at the angle you need to get things straightened back out so you can hook up to the front of the head pipe.
The Kit
consists of the tubing part of the reducer and the flange (not welded together)
so that the proper angle can be cut from the reducer, then the flange welded to
it. This give the correct angle on the reducer for mounting he exhaust headpipes.
These are not available anywhere except through our authorized distributors and
us. Nuts, bolts, washers and gaskets included.
Although these do not come with our systems, they may be
substituted as a pair or singularly.

"SLIP-ON" COLLECTOR REDUCERS
These are used on headers that have no flanges mounted on the end of the collector.
Although these do not come with our systems, they may be substituted. These reducers are used only with headers specially made for this type reducer...naturally? These are shorter than our other reducers, so the chance of "coming up" short with the headpipes increases, although generally the type headers which require this type reducer are longer headers. If you are going to clamp these to your headers, then you will need either the regular U-Bolts or Band Type clamps shown in the Hardware Section in the back of this catalog. We recommend the Band Clamps for best sealing.

Collector Ball & Socket Header Reducer Kits
Some headers utilize this type hookup. It is different that the traditional 3-Bolt flange hookup. Kit comes with nuts and bolts and mounting flanges.

If you will be using this to hookup to our header or manifold (non X-Pipe) systems, then you will also need a short Adapter Kit so our headpipes will be able to hookup to the Ball & Socket Reducer Kit.
